What we found along the bike path here in Oz!

I have see seen this path but never walked on it.

So this Sunday we decided to change our routine and take Sara for a car ride and then a walk. She loved it.

We have matching sweatshirts...how cute are we?

This bend made me want to get my bike fixed right away as soon as I get back home.

This is a Buddhist temple of some sort that is not finished yet but is only accessible on the bike path. How cool is that. It has huge stone dragon pillars. I can't wait to see it completed.

WOOOOO GO SPAIN

I bet the parties on the streets of Madrid and Barcelona are rocking tonight!!!!

Ready and random thoughts on the 2010 World Cup!

Getting ready to travel soon.

20 hours on a plane, then driving cross country. I sure didn't plan a nice easy trip.

I can't wait to see the sites we will see. I will miss my home and saraboo though.

I will be thinking of my Z. on my way to my N. I will get to see my sister and the cutest duo in the world, my two Ts! I will get to spend alone time with my mother.

I have much to do in so little time. I am still healing.

I know who is in the final of the World Cup and I am sad Africa is not! (sad huh)
as far as Germany vs Spain...I know who my money is on.

I am excited!

The need for Halloween.

I found a love and great use of my creativity when I got to plan parties. One reason I loved working at BM was because of this. Party planning to me became a passion. I would go in on my free time and decorate because it just made me feel good to really go all out to make the room look killer for the holiday or celebration.

I am craving a good party. Ladies,...I hope you all are hearing me!

Here are some decorations from the last party I did. This one was for my muse. I wanted her to feel her web and let her know..her friends were watching:) (LOVE U T)

I had fun doing it, but not sleeping that night!

They were everywhere...

Valley of Art

A walkway near us....

Works around the my nieghborhood!

Shared Passions

I was flipping through blogs yesterday and came across pics of train car graffiti.

The blogger explained how regardless of where he goes...he searches for graffiti.
Taking pictures of urban artists who will never be known or only by legend to an outsider, but who's work should be recorded, because it is modern art.

I share this passion. Regardless of where in the world I have gone, I photograph graffiti. I will stop and get out of the car in the strangest of places to get a good shot. I love finding these treasures. So here are my pictures from here in Melbourne.

It continues....

So Much More....

Ron Mueck Work!

Never in Life

I have been back and forth over the last two years and I will admit on my way back to Melbourne, I was a bit sad.

I love my home away from home but I was learning about a whole new group of people I had known most of my life but because of my own dramas and world, never knew as good as I should have. I was sad to be leaving them.

The world sometimes has a way of showing you that it loves you.
I got to know my heart, my love...Z, coming back to Melbourne.

I also got to see something I never thought I was going to see.

My Favourite Artist, Ron Mueck

I had just written a paper about him and longed to see his work so, you could imagine my surprise when A and I went to see an AC/DC exhibit (I love them too!!!)

WOO HOO! AC/DC!!!!

Anyway, We went to see what was at the NGV.
I, as a collector of pamphlets, picked up their up and coming shows to see that my dreams were coming true and I would see his work in person.

I quickly went to the information desk to confirm I was reading this right and spoke with the most straightforward young man that asked me if I liked Ron's work.

"Of Course I said" not being able to hold in how giddy I was with happiness.

He then said to me...

"Sad, that not many know who he is even though, he is one of Melbourne's greatest artist, great artists shouldn't have to die to become great"

I agreed with him. He is a great artist that not one many know anything about. His work is beyond what I could capture on film.

It is almost magical. It is so real, you can almost see them breathing. It takes your own breath away.

I think at one moment I may have even teared up while looking at the "youth" statue.

So here are some of the photos I took of Ron Mueck's Exhibit at the NGV 2010.
I hope you enjoy them.

I will post more.
