I think the main issue is, that whenever anything is posted or reported in the News, "illegal" is followed by some news footage of a Mexican doing something, but then goes on to say..."well it's not an anti-Mexican law". You can't have it both ways! The Federal Govt is doing it's job. ALL the reports show that crime is going down and under the Obama administration, actually deportation of "Actual Criminals who are Illegal" have gone up since the Bush Administration.
I also see this as a SERIOUS ploy of Tea Party members, who have no real agenda, but hold very racist members as "their representative" , to catch on to a bandwagon, of something that, some Americans, worry about, but not all. Which is a very devises attempt to cause "fear", which is typical in a movement, that doesn't want it's true agenda to come out. You talk about treason....Does anyone question why most of the people you see spouting very racist things are associated with the Tea Party and Fox News. Or are telling you to forget about what HISTORY as taught us. Fox News is the same one that stated, we couldn't speak out against "Bush" because he was a "war time president' yet go on to promote ATTACKS against Obama, who is also a "WAR TIME PRESIDENT". You should be an American and support your president in his measures to make America, really a place of people regardless of how you got here , are free.
I never supported Bush, and knowing History is what made me not support him, but I also knew that apart of being American and being able to hold my head up high is that we hold more of an UNDERSTANDING to other fellow HUMANS, NOTE PEOPLE<> I didn't say FELLOW AMERICANS, BUT FELLOW HUMANS!!! This is where a HUGE DIFFERENCE LIES!!! The Bush Administration took that away from us, and so is Jan Brewer and the Tea Baggers. Please PLEASE don't let them. Inciting fear is DANGEROUS and a useful technique of people who have another AGENDA!! It has happened before!!!! Let's bring up our reputation in the world!!!!
American immigration needs reform NOW!! We should start taking a SERIOUS look at companies that employing these fellow HUMANS and not paying for such things as: Workmen's comp or any other taxes which promote WORK SAFETY. Regardless if you are a CITIZEN...an AMERICAN company should not be using people as SLAVE LABOUR. This is where I differ with most people I am finding.
Here is Oz, there are HUGE CAMPAIGNS for WORK SAFETY and to have rights as an empolyee that covers you REGARDLESS of your status, because you are a fellow human. I have seen this as apart of their culture. Of course, they have the same issues with people coming over and not applying but they do it a bit better. I am also stating for you that know, I don't think detenment centers are correct either: Christmas Island...but no place is perfect place YET.
American can become that place, we should become that place. I would like it to be that place. We should make sure that if you are here and you want to work, you can. If you need help..it will be provided to you for a certain length of time until you can earn wages and pay into the pot, like everyone else. In the world..in America, we have enough to go around. We should not be paying any foriegn aid if we are going to kick the people who need real aid out of our own backyards. We are already a stingy republic being number 23 on the list of countries who gives out the most foreign aid, Denmark is the first giving out 1.01% of it's GDP. Japan gives more AID THEN US!!! Do they ask for admiration, Come on folks!!! Wake up..we are humans living with other humans. The bottom line of ANY RELIGION ...is be good to one another. Do you think their was a reason for that??? DUH!! Because regardless of Borders, or GODS, or RACE...we are all HUMANS first!
Also it shouldn't take 7 to 9 years to get rights to live and work here, being free to do so is what this country was built on. Immigration 200 years ago was different from immigration today, shit.. immigration procedures are not even the same, since 50 years years ago. We should be more proficient then that. Sorry, but we should. I am not saying, if you are a criminal: and let me clarify my idea of a criminal.."someone breaking a law that effect a FELLOW HUMAN in a negative way, like murder, rape..really bad things, you can even include trading of drugs and so on, as criminal activity, but people who cross the border looking for a better life for their families, should be given Amnesty. Identy thieft is another problem, and payments to those who are victims of this of course should be paid as well, since this is a serious issue regarding illegal immigrants. This process would be easier and cheaper then deporting the whole lot of people.
I think my worse fear and what should frighten every human, is when a group comes along that uses something they know is a way to manipulate the masses and get them to talk and act and vote in ways they normally wouldn't. That is the start of closing a society and maybe if you all worried about "History" a little more then you would see this as something that has been done before. I won't forget my history...regardless if you don't want to hear it or not. I know what happens to those who do. Ok and you want to talk about..border patrol's being killed and the "rancher" who was killed on his land..well you know what, crime happens everyday! It's sad and unfortunate, but if someone is caught they will pay the price and that, may include deportation.
Frankly I think COPS have enough real crime to deal with, then also becoming "immigration officers" as well. If anyone..breaks the law that is against a FELLOW HUMAN, then fine..arrest, jail, fine AND DEPORT..WHICH IS WHAT ALREADY HAPPENS. Don't let false propaganda put fear and then eventually HATE in your heart. That is what I think...you may, disagree but numbers on my side and knowledge of past and present history are on my side.
